This October, we hosted our AI Innovation Hackathon at our Scottsdale headquarters, bringing together employees from every department and a talented group of university students. For three days, teams collaborated to design, prototype, and present bold new ideas that will redefine the future of facilities management.

From predictive maintenance to intelligent technician support, each team developed creative AI-driven prototypes designed to improve how facilities are serviced, monitored, and optimized.

Several teams built working models that showcased the power of AI in real time, from agent-to-agent collaboration to proactive asset management. These solutions aim to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and lower overall maintenance costs for our clients across retail, restaurant, and convenience industries.

What made the event even more exciting was how quickly these ideas turned into action. In just three days, participants achieved what would typically take months of traditional software development.

Building on a Proven Track Record

This hackathon builds on the foundation we’ve established since igniting the facilities AI revolution in 2023.

• ChatFPT (Facilities Professional Technician) is our AI-powered field assistant that supports technicians in real time, increasing first-time fix rates and operational efficiency.
• VixxoVerify is an AI-driven cost transparency platform that audits invoices, benchmarks labor and parts costs against 40 years of data, and verifies job completion with photo evidence before clients ever see a bill.

These tools exemplify how Vixxo uses artificial intelligence to empower people, not replace them, making work smarter, faster, and more transparent.

Collaboration That Drives Results

President CJ Jernigan emphasized how collaboration was the heart of this event.
